Hollow Core Slabs

Hollow core slabs are transported to the site on flat-bed trailers and lifted directly from the trailer into the position. Slabs are lifted using the specially designed lifting equipment. Lifting clamps with safety chains underneath the slabs are normally used to lift the slabs. On steel and pre-cast structures, the Hollow Core Slabs are placed directly on top of the support. On in-situ concrete structures, the Hollow Core Slabs are placed on plywood shims for leveling purpose. After exact leveling is achieved, the grouting and tamping take place.
